Bunny Wranglers are Successful!
A little bunny has been munching his way through the garden over the last few weeks. This morning several gardeners, affectionately known as the “Bunny Wranglers,” managed to corner him in the back of the garden and Laura Margadonna pinned him with a stick while Martha Grizzel picked him up to relocate him outside the fence!
Productive Workday March 19th
If you missed Saturday’s workday, you missed a fun time. The garden was buzzing with activity as we had 21 students and most of the gardeners showing up to volunteer. After pulling Bermuda grass, students wheelbarrowed load after load of mulch to cover the aisles. Many gardeners were preparing their plots for planting (waiting to plant because of the impending frost!).
COME ON SPRING WE ARE READY FOR YOU!
The Giving Garden of Carrollton is grateful to Nisanth Murugesh of Boy Scout Troop 753 for building two cold frames as his Eagle Scout project. Thanks to Willie Lane for supervising Nisanth. The cold frames will allow gardeners to start seedlings early in preparation for this spring’s planting.
